Connecting paid search to more than $7M in closed-won revenue.
How a long-running manufacturing paid media program was tied to closed-won deal data using HubSpot attribution.
Client: B2B Manufacturer
Challenge
The client operates in a long-cycle, multi-contact B2B buying environment. Lead volume alone could not answer the question management ultimately cared about: whether paid search was associated with closed-won revenue. Attribution was complicated by multiple contacts at the same company and incomplete historical source data.
Approach
FoundHive combined paid media spend, HubSpot contact-source data and closed-won deal data. The analysis separated paid-influenced revenue from the more conservative paid-driven view so the team could distinguish between paid search being present in an account and paid search creating a contact before the opportunity existed.
What FoundHive managed
- Google Ads and Microsoft Ads management
- HubSpot contact-source tracking
- Closed-won revenue attribution analysis
- Campaign-level ROI analysis using captured UTM data
Paid-influenced means at least one associated company contact came from paid search. Paid-driven means a paid-search contact was created before the opportunity.

Why it matters
This case study moves the conversation beyond CPL. Paid search was the number-one lead source in the available HubSpot data, but the more important proof is that the media program could be connected to millions of dollars in closed-won revenue. The two-model attribution framework also makes the result more credible by showing both an influenced and a stricter driven view.
Paid search was not just generating leads. Using HubSpot and closed-won deal data, the program was associated with $7.06M in paid-influenced revenue and $1.89M in the stricter paid-driven view.
